What we collect

• Your search text and the filters we derived from it. Stored so the product can improve and so follow-up searches work. Not linked to your name — rielty has no user accounts yet.
• Your IP address, kept transiently for rate limiting and abuse prevention.
• A session cookie, strictly required for the site to function (security tokens, live updates). Cleared when your browser session ends.
• A "saved homes" cookie, so properties you heart stay saved between visits. Kept for up to a year.
• A visitor cookie, a random anonymous ID that lets us remember your search between visits, so you can pick up where you left off. Kept for up to a year. No analytics or advertising cookies, no trackers.

If you confirm an email alert for a search, that saved search — including the anonymous visitor ID — is linked to the email address you gave us.

Who processes it

The data controller is Rielty Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17393435), registered office 82a James Carter Road, Mildenhall, Bury St. Edmunds, England, IP28 7DE. You can reach us about anything on this page at alex@alexfilatov.com.

Search text is sent to OpenAI's API to be converted into structured search filters. It is sent without your name, account, or contact details. Under OpenAI's API terms, that data is not used to train their models. Everything else runs on rielty's own server in the EU (Finland).

What we never do

• Sell or share your searches with advertisers, agents, or anyone else.
• Build profiles of protected characteristics — searches are constraints, not personas.
• Show anyone's individual search to an estate agent.

Boards you scan in the street

Some estate agents put a rielty QR code on their For Sale boards. If you scan one and ask the board a question, that conversation is recorded and the agent who owns the board can read it. The page says so before you type. This is the point of the board: you are talking to the agent selling the house, and they answer you.

This is not the same as the searches you run on rielty itself, which we never show to an agent — a search is a private thing you do alone, and a board is a conversation you chose to start with a named company.

We record what you asked, what the assistant answered, and a one-way hash of your IP address so that one person scanning twice is not counted as two. We do not store your raw IP. If you give a name and a phone number or email, those go to the agent as an enquiry — that is what you asked for by giving them. If you do not, we still hold the conversation, so ask us to delete it and we will. Board conversations are kept for two years and then deleted.

Watching a property

On a sold-property page you can ask us to email you if that home comes back on the market, or if something like it comes up nearby. We store the email address you give us and the property you asked about, and nothing else.

We email you once to confirm the address is yours, and we do nothing until you click that link. Every email we send carries an unsubscribe link, and a watch stops by itself after two years.

If the home is later listed by an estate agent using rielty, we tell that agent you were waiting for it, and they may contact you. The form says so before you enter anything. This is the only circumstance in which a watch reaches an agent — it is not a search, and we still never show an agent what you have searched for.

Your rights

Email alex@alexfilatov.com to ask what we hold, or to have a stored search, a board conversation or a property watch deleted. The data controller is Rielty Limited, named above. If rielty introduces accounts, this page will be updated before anything changes.
